The boom years are over but the real estate market will continue to thrive in 2003. And the prices? They will also rise in Padua although to a lesser extent than in other Italian capitals. Research by Tecnocasa indicates an increase of around 3 percent. For Nomisma, however, it could reach 5 percent. However, these increases are decidedly lower than those estimated in Vicenza (6 percent), Trieste (8) and Mantua (10). "Probably - explains Michele Ferrari, head of Tecnocasa - it is due to the fact that in our city prices have already stabilized in recent years". How are rents going instead? Cerca@alloggi has no doubts: in the historic center they decreased by 1.2 percent. This figure goes against the trend of those recorded in Mestre where they instead increased by 10 percent and in Rome (plus 21 percent).
