In recent years, IT and technological tools have allowed the introduction of some convenient innovations relating to tax compliance. Currently, in fact, thanks to the internet, it is possible to fill out documents and declarations from home and send them via the internet, avoiding long and boring queues at the counters.
The Italians seem to have immediately seized this opportunity: estimates show, in fact, that around 530 thousand documents were exchanged on the network from the beginning of this year to September.
Even in terms of tax obligations relating to properties, it seems that the use of the internet is successful: from January to September, 23 thousand rental contracts were registered, compared to 16 thousand last year.
The Revenue Agency has expressed itself precisely on this service in recent days, with resolution 320/E, to provide some information.
The Agency would like to point out that the new version of the "rental contracts" software is made available on its website www.agenziaentrate.it, which is made up of two distinct applications. The first allows you to register contracts; the novelty of this application, compared to the previous version, consists in the introduction of the possibility of registering rental contracts for uses other than residential use. The second application allows the compilation of requests for payment of taxes due for subsequent years with reference to contracts registered starting from 1999. The Agency clarifies that, to pay taxes online it is necessary to have a current account at a credit institution affiliated with the Revenue Agency, whose details must be transmitted when preparing the file for transmission. Furthermore, it specifies that the amount of taxes to be paid must be entered in the file containing the data relating to the contract or payment requests.
