In the UK the rush of bricks stops

The unstoppable bull run of brick and mortar in Great Britain has come to a halt: for the first time since November 2001, house prices pointed downwards, by an average of 0.1%, last month.
This was announced today by Hometrack, a British group specializing in the real estate sector, specifying that the data represents a clear signal that the market boom has now come to a halt.
The average price of a house in Great Britain is currently 135,000 pounds (around 200,000 euros). The market is however divided in two: in the south of the country, including London, prices are falling, also because in these regions they have risen more, while in the north there are still increases.
