Renting a house is increasingly expensive for Italians, also because in many cases our compatriots are not aware of the tax breaks provided by law.
This is what emerges from the quarterly survey carried out by the Observatory on housing dynamics of the study center of Sunia, the tenants' union.
Comparing the data with the previous survey, the Study Center detected an increase in rents of 12% on an annual basis.
Out of a sample of 1000 families, only 7% pay a monthly rent of less than 250 euros, while 31% are around 500, 18% are between 500 and 600 and 11% are above 700 euros. The survey also shows that 69% of families are not aware of the legislation that provides tax deductions for the tenant and 37% declare that they do not have a contract in order.
